We had the privilege of meeting *Antonia, a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart, who has fought so hard in her life to raise her children. She has been through very difficult and sad events in her life and also, one of her children is developmentally delayed, which requires some very expensive medicines. Because of that, she had to work very hard to get money for her son and food for them. She has been working on the streets since she was 35, and has always looked for opportunities to have her own business or a dignified job, but there were times in her life when she could not find the strength, and job opportunities in the country were very scarce. She kept working on the streets until she was 53 years old, and that is when we met Antonia on the streets of Lima. Antonia is a very happy woman with a beautiful smile. Despite everything that has happened, she has continued to be a warrior for her children. However, she didn’t expect the pandemic quarantine and the state of emergency that was coming to the country. This took a financial toll on all Peruvians, but it affected Antonia more. 

 

We are thankful to God for introducing us to Antonia and using us to further His kingdom. We shared a delicious lunch with Antonia and her son that she prepared for us, during which we felt the presence of God in her home. It was a beautiful time to get to know her more. She shared with us not only her food, but her love and the miracle that Jesus did for her son. Honestly, when we met her son, it was incredible to see the recovery that he had made. He follows Jesus with all his heart and believes in His healing power so much that we could see that he was a great encouragement to his mother.

 

Antonia feels very grateful and blessed that Jesus was able to connect us with her. Currently in 2021, Antonia has started her own bookstore business through Toda Cadena’s small business startup program, where she sells school and office supplies. She is now another woman with a dignified job, which she enjoys very much because she has always wanted to own her own business. We are grateful to all those who always support our ministry so that each woman who decides to come out of the darkness can find the light and the opportunity to move forward in life with dignity.

La Historia de *Antonia 

Tuvimos el privilegio de conocer a Antonia, una mujer maravillosa con un hermoso corazón, que ha luchado tanto en su vida para sacar a sus hijos adelante. Pasó por eventos muy difíciles y tristes en su vida y además, uno de sus hijos tiene un leve retraso, lo cual depende de unas medicinas muy caras. Entonces ella tenía que trabajar muy duro para conseguir dinero para su hijo y alimentos para ellos. Ella estuvo trabajando desde los 35 años en las calles, y siempre estuvo buscando oportunidades de tener un negocio o un trabajo digno de ella, pero había momentos en su vida que no encontraba las fuerzas, y las oportunidades de trabajo en el país eran muy escasos. Ella se mantuvo trabajando en las calles hasta los 53 años, y así es como conocimos a Antonia en las calles de Lima. Antonia es una mujer muy alegre con una hermosa sonrisa. A pesar de todo lo que ha pasado, ella se mantuvo firme siendo una mamá guerrera para sus hijos. Ella no contaba con el tiempo de cuarentena pandemia y el estado de emergencia que venía para el país golpeando la economía de todos los peruanos, pero a Antonia le afectó más.

 

Estamos agradecidos a Dios por presentarnos a Antonia y usarnos para extender su reino. Hemos podido compartir con ella y su hijo un delicioso almuerzo en su casa, (preparado por ella), sentimos la presencia de Dios en su hogar, fue un hermoso tiempo el conocer más de ella. Nos compartió no tan solo su comida, sino su amor y el milagro que Jesus hizo en su hijo. Honestamente cuando conocimos a su hijo, fue increíble la recuperación que él tenía. Él sigue a Jesús con todo su corazón y cree tanto en su poder sanador que pudimos percibir que él era un gran alentador para su madre.

 

Antonia se siente muy agradecida y bendecida de que Jesús pudiera conectarnos con ella. Actualmente en este año 2021, Antonia tiene su negocio de librería, que empezó a través de nuestro programa de iniciar empresas con Toda Cadena, y  se trata de ventas de útiles escolares y de oficina. Ella ahora es otra mujer con un trabajo digno, el cual ella lo disfruta mucho porque siempre quiso su propio negocio. Así que estamos agradecidos a todos los que siempre nos ayudan que cada mujer que decide salir de esta oscuridad, pueda encontrar la luz y la oportunidad de seguir adelante en la vida dignamente.
